Confrontation Gangers WIP

Here's a WIP shot from a bunch of gangers that I'm currently working on with for a game of Confrontation. I decided to put some of my classic metallic minis in good use and used them as a basis for some of the characters. I have to say, you really start to appreciate the modern plastics much more when you're working with metallic minis.

  1. They look fantastic - are they a mixture of undercoated metal and plastic, or just plastic?

    1. The riflemen are fully plastic, the midget and the chainsaw sword champ are mixture of metals and plastic.

  2. Hi,

the combination of WH40K bitz and WH Fantasy/Mortheim parts is incredibly cool! Catches the atmosphere of the twisted warhammer universe in a great way! Can't wait to see these painted!

  3. Fantastic work, Kari! If GW ever decide to revisit Confrontation or Necromunda, this is the look they should be going for! Marvelous work!

  4. Superb! It perfectly captures the baroque cyberism of Confrontation. When are you guys gonna write up some battle reports? :)

  5. Lovely work, although the hellstrider legs look a bit strange on the witchhunter. Sort of like he is standing on his toes, which is not born out by the rest of the pose. Maybe you could give him high heels, and turn his right leg outward slightly?

    1. Actually the Witchhunter does have high heels on him, they just are not that visible from this point of view.

  6. Hey, awesome minis especially the midget. Very 80ies Blanchian, like out of a painting.

  7. Lovely work as usual Kari. Lots of character in these guys and really nice to see that old mordheim witchhunter get a new use!

Conserning the dwarf I have to be the dissenting voice though -that head just seems way to huge for his tiny body... Love the idea but it doesn't work all the way IMHO.

    1. Thanks for the crit, Jeff. I'm fairly satisfied with the midget, after all, he's not a dwarf but a stunted human. The open mouth and the huge mohawk make the head look bigger than it actually is.
